Small 03:06
I feel small next to all of your dreams Next to all of the things you want. I am better I know I can be better But I'm scared that I'm running out of time for that. What does one do when they love someone true But they're tired of being weak. What does one do when their heart is in two Different fists at once. I feel weak next to all of your strength And your distorted version of kindness. I am searching for the world beyond my fingers But I fear that I'm going blind. What happens when you discover the truth That the world is far bigger than me. What happens now that I understand that you Are just one of many. I feel cut off from the world at your fingers From the logic with which you live your life. I am bigger I know I can be bigger But i fear that your leaving me behind. What does one do when they love someone true But they're tired of being weak. What does one do when their heart is in two different fists at once.

Unrequited 04:32
It's been gloomy This summers had more clouds than most. The water's still rising It's coming up past the forms. It was gold the way I made everyday all about you. It was bold the way you said hey baby you've got nothing to lose. If unrequited is your name Then bad timing should be mine. Refracting magnets Will battle till the end of time. Your black coffee Has stained your teeth yellow with time. Your cigarette stained lips I know now will never be mine. It got old the way you said That forever was limited. And broken hearts are just a way To feel society again. If unrequited is your name Then bad timing should be mind. Refracting magnets Will battle till the end of time.// X2

All the wild horses. All the wild horses. Tethered with tears in their eyes. May no mans touch ever tame you. May no mans reigns ever chain you. And may no mans weight ever lay freight on your soul. As for the clouds. Just let them roll. Roll away, roll away. As for the clouds Just let them roll Roll away.

Hey dear boy what are you Doing over there With all your Worries and your cares overhead. Hey dear boy why are you So into politics And calculating what makes the brain tick. Hey dear boy your head is Too full of equations. Too full of calculations. Put down that pencil and Close that computer. Nothing could be greater Than you and me and soon you'll see. Hey dear boy why don't you Grab a coffee. And sit here next to me. This could be the start of Something brilliant and something None of the scholars saw coming. This won't be like a math or a science So put down that calculator and Use those lips and smile at me. Hey dear boy why are you So into politics. And calculating what makes the brain tick. Hey dear boy why don't you Put down that pencil And come over here and sit down. I will talk with you. You can teach me Something new. But hey dear boy why are you So into politics. Come over here and see what makes my brain tick. We're staining our teeth and probably Killing our brain cells with caffeine but we're Feeling good at 19. Hey dear boy. Hey dear boy. Hey dear boy come sit next to me.

Does he know what makes you happy? Does he know that a blue sky Can make you cry? Does he know the way the tree's make you feel Like an ant in the valley? Or the way you long so bad to hear Your mother sigh? Does he know that sometimes Your head gets too heavy? And that you'll have to lay it down Into the sweat of his palms. All this time you've been searching beyond yourself. Everybody has a place But it shouldn't be in someone else. All this time you've been searching for definition. And all of this time using the wrong set of clues. Does he know the way you can't sleep Unless your arms are tucked beneath you In a warm cocoon. Does he know the way you still like to go Into your dad's closet. And touch the big sweaters Just like a child. All of this time you've been searching beyond yourself. Everybody has a place But it shouldn't be in someone else. And all of this time you've been searching for definition. And all of this time using the wrong set of clues.

about

Denouement is defined as the resolution of a narrative. I tend to view my life like a long narrative; a giant novel of sorts. It is built up of many different chapters. All of these songs have been with me for quite some time, from different places in my life, stemming from different circumstances and emotions. Through finally recording and sharing "Denouement," I feel as if I have finally found a sort of resolution to this chapter in my life. I am able to move on from here with all the strings tied together, as I continue onto a new chapter in my life. Who knows what sort of EP that will bring. Thanks to all who have supported me and inspired me to continually write music. I hope you all enjoy this chapter and continue to wait for more to come.
